This January transfer window proves to be a time of feverish rumour and potential major deals. A number of high-profile stars find themselves connected to moves out of their current clubs. Here is a look at some of the key names who are poised to be on the move this month.

Antoine Semenyo

Although Ghana's inability to reach the Africa Cup of Nations, which has left the player available, it appears a significant transfer is close. This Bournemouth attacker has a deal with a £65 million buy-out clause applicable for a short window at the start of the month. Recent reports suggest Manchester City look to have won the race for his signature. Other suitors like Tottenham and Chelsea are said to have turned their attention to alternative options, leaving teams such as Liverpool or Manchester United to attempt a late move.

M. Guéhi

The England defender has continued to impress for Palace this season a previous transfer to Liverpool collapsing. As his deal set to run out in the summer, this represents the London club's last opportunity to obtain a transfer fee for their skipper. Numerous elite clubs, such as City and multiple continental powerhouses including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Barcelona, reportedly be interested. This experienced German shot-stopper finds himself as the third option at Barça under new manager Hansi Flick. Having lost his place and had an operation, a January departure seems increasingly likely. Aston Villa were initially mentioned as a possible suitor, but that move now appears off. Instead, interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia are reportedly showing interest in the 33-year-old.

This prolific English centre-forward has kept finding the net regularly in Saudi Arabia. Coming back to the Premier League could boost his dwindling hopes of being in the national World Cup. The highly-touted Dutch midfielder has drawn parallels to a Belgian superstar for his style of play. After starring at the U19 Euros, he has broken into the AZ first team. This 19-year-old is heavily expected to complete a major move in January.
